Octagon Assistant
One assistant for the whole app — the Today card, the corner window and the phone sheet share the same conversation. It answers in plain words, shows the numbers behind them, and can do the job for you, step by step, with Undo at the end. Calm enough for anyone; good enough to screenshot.
The Octagon
A deep glass sphere with long wisps of light turning inside it — Octagon blue, violet and a touch of cyan — a bright rim and one highlight. Every state eases into the next: the wisps brighten and ripple with your voice, swirl faster while it thinks, glow with each phrase it speaks, and stop and fade when paused; the sphere grows or shrinks a little with each. Pick a state to see it.
Slow wisps of light, calm. Nothing to do.
The card
The real assistant — ask it something. Watch the whole sequence: Thinking… shimmers, the answer arrives in one sentence with its blocks under it, an action card offers to do the job, and the steps tick off with the Octagon. The chat follows to the end and stops exactly there; scroll up to read and it lets you be.
Answers and actions
How a reply is built, top to bottom.
- One sentence. “3 invoices are late. Shall I send each client a friendly reminder?”
- Blocks. The one figure (€78,962 to come in) · the rows behind it, each with its mark · the people, as faces and names.
- One action card. What it will do, in one line, then Do it and Not now. Doing it fills a bar and ticks each step; it ends green with the result and Undo.
- Two follow-ups. The next things you are likely to ask, as chips.
Voice
Press the mic in the ask bar. The Octagon takes the whole card and ripples with your voice; five bars under it show it hears you; what you say is written as you say it, and the answer is read aloud.
Sounds
Four soft sounds, only for moments that matter, quiet by default (React Bits Sound Lab). The Sounds setting in the gear menu turns them off.
Words
How Octagon talks — the same for a 60-year-old owner and a 20-year-old on site.
The answer in one plain sentence, the way you would say it on site. The numbers and names go in the blocks under it.
Before an action: what will happen, in one line. "A friendly email to each client with the invoice attached."
Every action ends with Undo. "Not now" is always as easy as "Do it".
Ready when you are · Listening… · Thinking… · Answering… · Doing it… · Paused. Nothing moves without a reason.
